Bashing Trump and Free Speech in Germany
This is a funny meme and is criticizing Trump for his actions and speeches related to the Ukraine / Russia War. And, in my opinion, he deserves some criticism. It makes a political statement and is also a joke at the same time.
This meme bashing Trump would be illegal in Germany, since it falsely attributes a quote to someone. You would be subject to fines or arrest in Germany for posting this to social media. While the German laws are meant to prevent harassment and slander/libel, these restrictions could easily cross over into suppressing political speech, since their laws even make posts like this technically illegal.
Spotted this morning . . .
I wonder if this is what they intended when they wrote that law? Do they realize that their political opponents can use this law against them?
