What do you think? Now that Trump has thrown free trade out the airlock, will the Democrats becomes the party of free trade in the same way that the Republicans became the party of free speech after the Democrats abandoned it?

The Democrats do seem to do the opposite of whatever Trump is doing. They were against immigration until Trump was against immigration, and suddenly they became pro-immigration. I think they take whatever stance they think will hurt their opponent. It's less "I'm right" and more "you're wrong."

This is what happens when a party is more concerned about winning than principles. And, to be clear, I am not talking about their supporters. Most of them believe, rightly or wrongly, about what they advocate for or against. I mean the people actually running things at the top. The only principle they believe in is staying in power and accumulating wealth for themselves.
